Chelsea is a Manitowoc, Wisconsin native, graduating from Lincoln High School in 2012. She is currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay (UWGB) with a major in Communication/Journalism and Public Relations emphasis. She plans to graduate from UWGB in May of 2016.
From a young age, Chelsea was drawn to activities surrounding the written word. She was active on her high school newspaper staff and was involved in the International Baccalaureate English program. At UWGB, she is involved in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) as well as the Manitowoc Junior Chamber of Commerce and Women in Management.
“I am thrilled to be taking part in this job shadow with Roydan,” Rank notes. “I believe it will be a great way to see how businesses operate on a day-to-day basis. It will give me an inside perspective.” She is looking forward to working within a business-to-business based organization and indicates that Roydan will also give her invaluable experience within the software industry.
During her time at Roydan, Chelsea will also take part in writing a blog, planning a social media calendar and generating and distributing a press release. These real-world public relations tasks will give her important tools that she can carry into a future job.
Upon graduating from UWGB, Chelsea is looking forward to exploring the unlimited career offerings within the communication field. “Communications is an ever-changing field with a diverse career path. This was a lot of the appeal in choosing this major,” she indicates.
