Dan’s primary focus in his role as President is to ensure that everything his team designs will help the customer be more effective and efficient in doing their job. This “customer-centric” focus embodies every fiber of the Roydan culture, and Dan is steadfast in the belief that he will only be successful if his customers also thrive.
When he is not serving at the helm of the Roydan ship, Dan is involved in a variety of civic organizations including the Manitowoc Public Utilities Commission and Manitowoc Plan Commission. His efforts have earned him the respect of the Wisconsin Water Association where he was awarded the Steward of Safe Water. This award is granted to a commission, committee or board member who is responsible for overseeing water utilities, and who has served the industry for more than 10 years. Dan has also been recognized for his work with the Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin (MEUW), earning the Charlie Bradburn Pillars of Public Power Award six times in appreciation for his years of service to this organization.
Not only does he serve his customers and professional constituents, but Dan also consistently works to touch lives in the local community. A few of his more notable volunteer roles include a past Board member of the Lakeshore Child Care Center, Past President of Manitowoc County Habitat for Humanity and Trustee and Standing Committee for the Episcopal Diocese of Fond du Lac.
Serving others is not just a job for Dan Hornung, it is a way of life. To learn more about Dan and the Roydan team, check out his LinkedIn page, follow the LinkedIn company page for Roydan and visit our website!
