KAN (Kids & Necessities) is a local non-profit that provides area children with back-to-school supplies through the KAN Cool for School supply drive. Roydan President, Dan Hornung, has been volunteering with KAN for several years and is thrilled to offer the Roydan offices as a drop off location. “We are honored to help this great organization serve the kids in our area and ensure they are well-equipped to start the new school year. Not having the proper supplies can be a huge financial stressor for some families. This program gives all children a positive start to the year by providing them with some of the supplies they will need to be successful in the classroom,” Hornung notes.
In addition to being a drop off site for donations, the Roydan team also is happy to lend a hand by donating items for this worthy cause. And Dan is excited to be on hand during the distribution of supplies. “It is heartwarming to see how something as simple as a backpack full of school supplies can make such a big impact. It makes me realize how much we all take for granted. The Roydan team is privileged to play a small part in helping area children thrive in their academic pursuits. KAN takes the lead in helping them put their best foot forward,” Hornung concludes.
