Travis Hoium, author for the Motley Fool, was once quoted as saying, “There’s really only one constant in Las Vegas and that’s change.” While this quote was meant to personify the effervescent daily transformations of the “City of Lights,” it’s also quite appropriate for the debt collection industry, making Vegas the perfect location for the 2018 ACA Spring Forum and Expo.

How many Roydan team members does it take to escape a locked room? That sounds like the start of a great joke, but it was actually the theme of an afternoon teambuilding event and workshop.

Roydan was founded on a philosophy of serving others. It’s a mindset that’s embedded in the way we do business as well as the way we interact within our local community. Our company President Dan Hornung models this way of thinking, serving several area organizations, including the Manitowoc Public Utilities (MPU) Commission, of which he has been a member since 1991.

A cancer diagnosis is a difficult blow no matter who it impacts. When that diagnosis is given to a child, it’s often devastating and requires the support of an army in the midst of the battle. Adam’s Army was formed to do just that for Roydan team member Greg Brey and his family in the wake of his son Adam’s cancer diagnosis this past February. What started as a simple hashtag to bolster the spirits of a little boy waging war on this horrible disease became a rallying cry across the US and around the world.

Every time we are able to connect with our customers and learn more about what is happening within the collection industry, we consider it a win. Being able to take part in a 100th Annual Conference and Expo makes it just a little more momentous.
